Academy of Management

BPSNet

NOTE: BPSNet has moved to a new Academy server, and the signup and maintenance procedures have changed. See the last paragraph if you were switched from digest delivery (or any other options changed) and you want to switch back.

BPSNet is a LISTSERV e-mail discussion group for the BPS Division. Members can email questions, comments, position announcements (the job postings on BPSNet are usually much more current than the Academy Placement service), and other information to the list address, bps-net@aomlists.pace.edu, which is then redistributed to all subscribers to the BPSNet LISTSERV. The new BPSNet LISTSERV manager is Robert Stephens (rdstep@ship.edu).

To subscribe to BPSNet, click here (this will take you to a page outside of this website; use the Back button in your browser to return here). There are two ways to subscribe: (1) immediate delivery, where all postings to the list are immediately forwarded to you in individual email messages (as many per day as posted), and (2) digest delivery, where postings are vetted by moderators and grouped together so many fewer email messages are sent to subscribers using this option (at most one per day). If, like most of us, you receive much email, you might be much happier with digest delivery.

Click here to subscribe (or unsubscribe) to BPSNet. Enter your email address (check it carefully), choose immediate or digest delivery (digest recommended), then click on the Submit button. You can also use this same page to remove yourself from the list by entering your email address and selecting “Unsubscribe” and clicking on Submit.

If, during the switch to the new system, your preferences were reset from “digest” and you now get a separate e-mail for each posting to the list, you can change back to digest delivery by clicking on the links to subscribe above and then click on “log in with your LISTSERV password” (if you don’t have a password, follow the instructions to get one). Once logged in, you can change your ”Subscription Type” to “Digest” and then click on “Update Options.”
